Commitment

Well, I was taking a look at my blog recently, and realized that I hadn't posted in nearly a month, so I decided that it was probably time for another post. I apologize to all those who have missed it, and for those who didn't notice the long absence...well, I forgive you.

Over this past month, I have learned a lot of things. I have learned about the value of communication, how to become a much better listener, and how to strengthen a relationship. These and other lessons are ones that I will dearly cherish for years to come and ones that I will be forever grateful to have learned. Another lesson that I learned, and probably one of the most important from this month, was about setting a goal, and then committing yourself 100% to achieve it. I heard a really awesome quote, and it went something like, "Until we are fully committed, there is hesitation, and we are ineffective". That has stuck with me, and probably will continue to stick with me throughout my life.

For me, I realized that I had to become 100% committed to the things I am doing, and that I will do in life, and that to be fully committed to something meant that I had to keep going, no matter what! I realized that at times in my life, I had been hesitant, and thus, ineffective. And, I learned that when we become committed, we move forward towards our goal with determination and boldness - that when opposition comes our way, we do all we can to overcome it, and press on.

I hope that throughout my life, on whatever path I choose to take, that once I have decided on it, I can stick to it, no matter what! I know that if I do this, I will be able to push forward, despite the storms that will surely cross my path at times, and that I will be strong and determined enough to keep going.
